Gaussian Elimination

Three equations with three unknowns will not yield to guesswork. This module leads from the familiar substitution method to Gaussian elimination and shows why rearranging rows leaves the solution set untouched. Every transformation step can be followed on its own, and intermediate results can be checked before you move on. It ends with the question of how you tell from a system that it has no solution at all, or infinitely many.
